These terms explain the rules for using SeekhoSmart — whether you’re a student, a parent, a teacher or a school. We’ve tried to keep them short and readable. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SeekhoSmart. In (“SeekhoSmart”, “we”, “us”) for the use of सीखोSMART (SeekhoSmart) — our website, web app, and related email and WhatsApp communications (the “Services”).
By creating an account, signing in (including with Google) or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Services.
2. Who can use SeekhoSmart
- If you are 18 or older, you can accept these Terms yourself.
- If you are under 18, your parent or lawful guardian must agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of the Services. If your school enrolled you, the school confirms it has the necessary parental consent.
- Teachers and school representatives confirm they are authorised to act for their school when they use school features.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Use your own email address — invites and school enrolment rely on it.
- Keep your password and devices secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account; tell us at hello@seekhosmart.in if you suspect misuse.
- Your account has one role — student, teacher, parent or school — chosen when it is created (or set by an invite from your school). It decides which features you see. Contact us if your role needs to change.
- One person per account. Don’t share accounts or create accounts for others without their (or their parent’s) permission.
4. Using SeekhoSmart as a student, parent, teacher or school
Students
You may use the learning content, practice, tests and AI explanations for your own personal, non-commercial study. Class tests must be your own work.
Parents
You may link only to children for whom you are a parent or lawful guardian, using the code they share with you. You can choose to receive progress reports by email and/or WhatsApp and turn them off at any time.
Teachers
You may create classes, invite students and use the AI test engine for teaching. Only invite students you actually teach, use their data only for teaching them, and review AI-generated questions before assigning them.
Schools
Schools may roll out SeekhoSmart to their teachers, students and families. Where a school has a separate written agreement with us (including pricing, the partnership model and data processing terms), that agreement applies in addition to these Terms and prevails if they conflict. The school is responsible for the accuracy of the rosters it uploads and for obtaining any consents its students and parents need to give.
5. Free features, paid plans and credits
- The core student experience is free to start. Some features may be offered as paid plans, school plans or with usage limits; we’ll show prices and terms before you pay.
- Promotional credits (for example, signup credits) have no cash value, can’t be transferred or exchanged for money, may expire, and may be withdrawn if obtained through misuse.
- Payments for school plans are governed by the school’s agreement with us.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you have already paid for, we’ll offer a fair remedy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or harass, bully, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Upload content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, infringing, or harmful to children.
- Access another person’s account or data, guess codes (class, parent or verification codes), or get around access controls.
- Scrape, bulk-download, copy or resell our content, question bank or AI outputs, or use them to build a competing service.
- Overload, probe, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Services, or use bots except as we allow.
- Send spam or use invites, reports or WhatsApp features to contact people who haven’t asked to hear from you.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
7. AI-generated content and educational disclaimer
SeekhoSmart uses AI to generate questions, explanations, summaries and study plans. AI can make mistakes. Please use your judgement, check important answers against your NCERT textbook and teachers, and report errors to us.
- Teachers are responsible for reviewing tests before publishing them to students.
- SeekhoSmart is an independent learning platform. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCERT, CBSE, NTA or any examination board. Previous-year questions are provided for practice and may differ from official papers.
- We don’t guarantee any particular marks, rank, admission or result.
- Progress reports and dashboards are guides based on activity in the app — not formal assessments.
8. Content you create
You keep ownership of content you create — for example questions a teacher writes or edits, and school information. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and process it to provide and improve the Services for you and the people you share it with (such as your students).
You confirm you have the rights to anything you upload, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.
9. Our content and intellectual property
The Services — including software, design, the सीखोSMART name and logo, curated content, question banks and the way we organise the syllabus — belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use them for learning and teaching as described in these Terms. Syllabus material referenced from NCERT remains the property of its owners.
10. Third-party services
Some features rely on third parties — for example Google Sign-In, YouTube video embeds and WhatsApp. Your use of those is also subject to their terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for their content or availability.
11. Suspension and closing your account
- You can stop using the Services at any time and ask us to delete your account at support@seekhosmart.in.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put others at risk, or when required by law — with notice where reasonable.
- If a school’s agreement ends, school-managed features (classes, school dashboards) may stop; students and parents can keep personal accounts where available.
12. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep SeekhoSmart accurate and available, but the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, SeekhoSmart is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services, including content you upload — except to the extent caused by us.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly. Any dispute that can’t be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, India.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept them.
17. Contact & grievances
